Bolt Boarding – Bolt Bracing – No Holes Or Screws Into The Exterior Of The Structure – Causing No Damage
Bolt boarding is the method used to board up openings. Bolt boarding, bolt bracing is when a plywood, a carriage bolt and 2x4s are used to secure the opening.
Exterior grade plywood is cut to size for the outer area of the opening. 2 – 2x4s are cut to size for the inside of the opening. Carriage bolts are driven from the exterior of the plywood through the openings to the 2x4s. Carriage bolts are then fastened with a washer and nut and are tightened.
